Blank Parchment, Pen, and Compass

I had intended to complete Part 2 of my article on the contemplative life. The many times that I sat down to complete it, I realized in many ways that what I wanted to say had begun to go in a different direction. Now it is something broader and more expansive about desire that I must put to words. I ask for your patience. I am still meditating on it. I hope to have it ready for the June issue.

For this month, I had the pleasure of interviewing Garbage Warrior, "eco-tect" and creator of the Earthship, Michael Reynolds. If you are not familiar with Reynolds, this month's video is his TedX talk, and you can get some idea about his creation, the Earthship. I think that you will find the interview and the video very inspiring.

Then there is Tumbleweed, the Tiny House Company. This is an interesting blog about the business of building tiny houses.

Finally, from the Wayfaring Girl's Blog, a discussion about the Tiny House Movement.

Any way you chose to look at, we are definitely making a shift in how we think about shelter and living on this planet. These people are showing us how we can do it too.
